Sheena Wilson is a results oriented e-learning consultant and instructional designer who focuses on end-user learner support and direct returns on e-learning investments.
Her diverse experience in customer/client services and 9 years in the field of education are complemented with project management experience and graduate level coursework in adult education, instructional design, learning technologies, issues in technology-mediated education, community building in online learning environments, and advanced research methods.
Sheena was born and raised in the Kootenays, but in 1996 she traded the mountains for the ocean and moved to Vancouver Island where she completed her Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education degrees at the University of Victoria. Since graduating from UVic, Sheena has taught secondary level humanities on the South Island and has worked in the field of adult education as a facilitator for the BCTF.
In 2010 Sheena decided to make the leap from the public school system into the private sector and pursued a master’s degree in learning and technology at Royal Roads University. She is passionate about instructional design with an emphasis on supporting adult learners in technology-mediated education.
